Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Anatomy and Physiology covers a variety of subjects that relate to the human body, with an emphasis on information needed by aspiring health professionals. The course discusses the physiology of the human body, including surveys of the major organ systems of the body as well as the underlying biochemistry and cellular concepts that are the building blocks for human life.
The course also focuses on diseases that impact the various human systems and the ways in which the body itself and treatment from health professionals can help maintain homeostasis. The course concludes with the way in which the human anatomy changes over time and the differences between healthy aging and problems that tend to affect the body as we age.
Students are expected to complete the course of study set forth in the syllabus to properly prepare for the final examination.
The course also includes an optional online lab component provided by PhysioEx please see the syllabus for details. Students may complete the course without the lab component for 3 semester hours or complete the course with lab component for 4 semester hours.
To complete course with the lab component, students must submit lab reports in accordance with the course syllabus, in addition to taking the final examination.Dietary Self-Assessment.
